Uninstall Fortnite through Epic Games Launcher. Launch the Epic Games Launcher and go to the Library on the left pane. Find the Fortnite game on the list. Click the settings on the Fortnite thumbnail, and in the popped up window select Uninstall. Click Uninstall. Remove Uninstall Entry using “CCleaner” Program. If you have not already, download and install the latest version of the CCleaner. Click on the CCleaner shortcut icon either on your desktop or in the Start Menu to run the program. Click on the Tools button on the left. Thanks for your reply. The issue with my Origin account is the game won't fully install, the only option is to Intall or Fix Game. When I hit Install it says its loading 1 file, then says complete, then when I hover over the game the only option is to Intall again.

I'm really stuck here.

I got the file 'EpicInstaller-10.17.0.msi' directly from the official homepage. I had previously installed the Launcher and Fortnite. I uninstalled both in the normal way using Add / Remove Programs. My operating system is Windows 10.

As you can see from the first screenshot, the installer automatically inserts C: Program Files (x86) Program Files (x86) Program Files (x86) Epic Games, even if I change the path. When I select my second hard drive D: I get D: Program Files (x86) Epic Games. However, it can be seen from screenshots 2 and 3 that the installation process fails here. Everything runs until the Direct X installation, followed by the rollback and the error message that the installation has failed. 40GB are available on C: and 60GB on D:. I'm logged in as an administrator and other installations work perfectly.

I have already set all permissions as full access, confirmed the installation as administrator and deleted the remaining files from AppData / Lokal / Epic Games. Remnants of a previous installation were also removed in the registry editor (keys with Epic Games in the name). Unfortunately, everything was unsuccessful.

I don't know what else to try to solve the problem. I hope someone can help me.

Uninstall

Sincerely yours,

Yanic
